Nottingham Forest Supporters' Trust announces programme of supporter dialogue with Nottingham Forest Board of Directors
Following a meeting with the Nottingham Forest Board of Directors, Nottingham Forest Supporters’ Trust is pleased to announce a new programme of dialogue which will allow supporters to ask questions about the affairs of the club.
The Trust is an independent, democratic, non-profit organisation run by Nottingham Forest fans for Nottingham Forest fans. We exist to help fans to join together and strengthen their collective influence over the way the club is run, and to improve the links between their club and the community it serves. Ultimately, it’s about giving the most important group in any football community, the fans, a voice.
Over the last three years we have been proud to develop one of the most positive Trust-club relationships in English football, based around mutual respect across multiple levels of the club.
As part of our dialogue, it is important that the Trust asks key questions about the running of the club and provides insights to members, and to the wider supporter base. We do not have the remit, nor the desire, to represent all Forest fans. It is however the case that the nature of our established ongoing dialogue, as well as our democratic constitution, puts us in a unique position to put the questions fans want asking to the club’s Board. We therefore welcome contributions from all fans to this programme.
The club and the Trust agree on the importance of clarifying the club’s position on a wide range of issues that have been the subject of discussion in recent months. Therefore, the club has accepted the Trust’s offer to lead Q&A sessions, with written answers from the club’s board, at least twice a year. We will also explore how the member surveys we have run previously can be expanded to the wider fanbase.
It has been agreed that the first Q&A can take place as soon as possible so we now ask all of you, Trust members and fans alike, to let us know what you’d like asking.
