Samantha and Garry Birtles Charity Match

3pm 27th June 2021 at Basford United FC In aid of Treetops Hospice

Sadly Samantha Birtles, wife of Forest legend Gary Birtles has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and is being cared for at Treetops Hospice based in Risley, Derbyshire. Samantha and Garry wish to recognise the support from Treetops Hospice by holding a charity match at Basford United FC at 3pm on 27th June, 2021.

The Trust are pleased to support this initiative, and Forest and the Football Family are providing great support.

The match will be between:

GARRY BIRTLES SUPERSTARS managed by NIGEL CLOUGH

and

HAREWOOD & TURNER TREETOP LEGENDS managed by KEVIN KEEGAN

Many Forest legends and other football personalities will be attending including Forest’s European Cup winners and other players from more recent times.

Football memorabilia has been donated from the across the football family and will be auctioned on line.

Ahead of the main match at 10.00am there will a VETERANS TOURNAMENT for Over 50s and Over 60s. NFFC will have teams in both groups including formers players. Other former players will be in attendance to support their two teams. Admission is by match day programme. The Supporters Trust has sponsored the two trophies for this event.
